We arrived rather hot and dusty from walking in Calke Abbey – to be warmly greeted and offered a cream tea by Chris in the dining room. Such a treat. Soon after shown upstairs to a beautiful bedroom with turquoise furnishings, everything immaculately fresh. The tea tray crammed with every kind of refreshment. Lots of lovely thick bath linen and a gleaming bath tub. After a fortnight of B & B’s and hotels/pubs this was quite the nicest place. We shall certainly recommend you to all our friends in London and Cumbria. Thank you very much Chris & Dave.
